Common Questions

I'm not receiving severe weather alerts.

Make sure notifications are enabled in the app (Settings tab → Severe Weather Alerts) and that WeatherMax+ has notification permission in iOS Settings. The app uses your saved locations or current GPS location to determine which alerts apply to you.

How often are alerts checked?

Our server checks for new NWS alerts every 30 seconds and sends a push immediately when one is issued for your area.

The weather seems wrong for my location.

WeatherMax+ uses NWS grid-point data for US locations. Try searching your exact city name or zip code for the most accurate results. If it's still off, let us know on Discord.

How do I delete my data?

Disabling push notifications removes your device token from our server instantly. Deleting the app removes all local data. To request deletion of any server-side data, email us at appsupport@weathermax.app.
